Schlubach : Account Executive Maggie is in charge of Account Services: Planning, organizational details, attention to all coordination details including supervision of staff and volunteers, and overall project management and production. Prior to partnering with Charlene, Maggie handled public relations, special events and historic projects at the legendary Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville, NC for l9 years, overseeing l8 annual themed weekends and spring and Christmas festivals. There, she also developed special programs throughout the year including the internationally acclaimed Gingerbread House Competition, the Birdhouse Contest and the Inn’s popular Staff Chorus singalongs. She has also worked in PR and marketing at the Biltmore Estate and Chimney Rock Park prior to her years at the Grove Park Inn. Charlene Scharf: Creative Director Charlene is in charge of Creative Services: Visioning and creative concept development, and production of all design, décor, lighting, staging, and special effects. Charlene founded and owned two Party Stores in Charlotte, North Carolina which grew into Balloons by The Party Store, an award-winning, onsite balloon decorating company which competed on an international level in balloon design. Charlene grew her business into a turn key, full service event planning company designing and producing event décor with all disciplines in house, props, sets, lighting, fabric and lycra, interior landscape, balloons, flowers and special effects. Charlene opened an office in Asheville and partnered with Maggie Schlubach, bringing together the decorating and special event skills with highly skilled and detailed event planning and coordination. |
